HLT51020 Diploma of Emergency Health Care program reflects pre-hospital and out-of-hospital workers employed to provide patient assessment, healthcare and transport services. These workers possess clinical skills and theoretical knowledge and provide clinical assessment and pre-hospital and out-of-hospital interventions to patients in an emergency, including providing advanced skills in life support.
This qualification applies to a variety of roles within the health care and patient transport system.

HLT51020 – Diploma of Emergency Health Care (formerly known as Diploma of Paramedical Science)
Wilson Health Pty Ltd t/a Wilson Medic One RTO provider number 40753 is an approved provider for the Vet Student Loans program for HLT51020 – Diploma of Emergency Health Care.
The VET Student Loans program is an Australian Government loan program that helps eligible students enrolled in approved courses at diploma level pay their tuition fees. The loan has income-contingent repayment arrangements, which means you only need to make repayments if you are earning above the minimum repayment threshold. You can make voluntary repayments at any time. If you are an Australian Citizen and meet the minimum educational requirements, you are eligible to apply. Please contact us for more information.
The VET Student Loan will not be approved for students who do not meet the eligibility requirements and that a VET Student Loan gives rise to a VET Student Loan debt that continues to be a debt due to the Commonwealth until it is repaid.

Course Objectives
This qualification is clustered by Wilson Medic One to form a targeted and work ready program. Many students continuing with their pre-hospital care knowledge and training and moving into more advanced areas of study as a natural progression
The course is delivered in 3 modules phases which includes
- e-Learning (self-paced online units – do not need to be complete prior to the classroom time)
- 7 weeks classroom time (flexible, can be broken into blocks- please call us to discuss)
- 160 of clinical placement (included – we organise your placements for you)
Course Delivery
This course requires face-to-face training to gain the practical, hands-on skills that you need, with some components of online learning involved.
We are flexible on where you would like to complete this course – we can travel to your site in Western Australia, or we have regular classes at our training facility in Belmont, Perth (Level 1, 190 Abernethy Road, Belmont, WA, 6104).
100% attendance is required for the classroom time due to the level of course content.

It includes 9 Compulsory Units and 8 “pre-set” Elective Units which are delivered in a cluster format providing program that is holistic in its approach and has meaning and relevancy to the student’s work functions as the program is based on real work tasks.

Entry Requirements
- A fully endorsed drivers licence.
If you are still on your “P” plates, please discuss alternative arrangements before enrolling. - Year 12 certificate or AQTF level IV in any field.
Should you not have this, we can assist with a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills assessment, at no charge to you. - Before placements – a Working with Children’s Check & National Police Clearance.

Wilson Medic One mutually recognises Statement(s) of Attainment and qualifications issued by other RTO’s.
Course fees: $12,500
Payment Terms: deposit of $1000 is required to secure your enrolment. The remaining balance will be invoiced during your classroom session and full payment is required on completion of your classroom component.
We also offer a payment plan of $1000 a month payable on the 1st or the 15th of the month, whilst Wilson Medic One do not charge additional fees for this service, EZYPAY the subscription payment service used, does. Please see link to EZYPAY website for more information www.ezypay.com
The course fee balance needs to be paid by the end of the classroom time or if utilising a payment plan, within 12 months. This will be discussed on an individual level. Full payment is required before the certificate can the released.

Certification
Following the successful completion of the program, Qualification Testamur and Record of Achievement will be issued in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
