HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote Situations or Isolated Site
Gain the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation.
Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site course is ideal for those who may be required to prepare for and provide a first aid response in locations beyond the reach of timely medical assistance. The course provides you with various skills specific to working in remote situations such as monitoring casualties over an extended period of time, administering medication under direct medical directions and evaluating possible options for a medical evacuation.
Course Information
This competency based remote first aid training includes CPR and provides you with the practical skills and knowledge to:
- Respond to a remote emergency situation
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Manage the incident
- Evaluate the incident and your own performance
Students must be physically fit to be able to demonstration CPR skills on the floor.
Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site is competency based training. After successful completion of the programme you will be awarded a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site.
